Wow, ALOHApalooza was a blast! If you missed it, check out the photo gallery. If you were there, highly possible your picture showed up there too. :)
Great time! HUGE thanks to Ronnie Tsunami, event director extraordinaire, Jenny and her crew at SkinnyZ for a great job, the TropRock crew for the raffle organizing, all the other great bands, and everyone else involved. Can't forget a shout out to our new bud, one of Stallings PD's finest keeping an eye on "Bessie" the sound rack for us as well as the captain of the El Premo 747 Love Shack. Shame we don't have a good picture of that monster. All the folks who came out early to party with us - Y'all were a great crowd, hope to see ya down the road somewhere.
Speakin' of 'down the road somewhere', next gig open to the public is at Childress Vinyards in Lexington, NC. Come out, have some wine. While you're there, buy some wine made right here in NC!!
Where after that? We have several private gigs, but nothing else on the books that is a public venue. Want to see us somewhere? Give us a yell!
The 2008 season continues with a great event coming up in July called ALOHApalooza. We're playing along with 2 other great Charlotte-area bands, Rum Punch Bandits and Tsunami Wave Riders.
We should know soon the exact schedule of when we're playing, but if you want to make a day of it, plan on that! The event will run from 3pm until midnight at SkinnyZ (corner of I-485 and Idlewild Rd).
Tickets will be on sale in advance (and those will be cheaper). Check out that plus all the latest info at the official ALOHApalooza Web site.
And WOW what a kick off! The latest incarnation of Blind Manifest has been locked away for a few months "in the studio" working out the sound - this past weekend we launched this bad boy all over the people of Kure Beach, NC. Overall, the show went really well. Big thanks to the Pleasure Island Parrotheads and the staff at Jack Mackerel's for the hospitality! Looking forward to hanging out with y'all again!
The photos from that event are posted in the Photo Gallery.
It's also possible that Tater has posted in the MySpace Blog. Check and see!
We had a few changes over the winter, but Blind Manifest 2008 is ready to go for summertime. We've been "in the studio" for the last few months working on new demos and lining up the summer schedule. Looks for more site updates over the next few weeks. Also keep an eye on the MySpace (where tater keeps a much more up-to-date blog), as well as the Gigmasters site - our online press-kit and booking site.
That's right kids, it's a new look for the new year for Blind Manifest.com. Well, we tried to do an even cooler site, but the hosting company we have has decided not to support active server pages. So, we're in the market for a good hosting company! :)
